I'm offended...

Okay, not really. But, I thought that more than 2 people would take me up on my previous post. Do you not think that I am capable of creating something to your liking? Pfft. Pooh on you.
Just joshin'.

So, I've been reading up on solar ovens... I know...kinda weird. But, if for some reason we had a power outage...this sounds like an awesome way to cook food. I will be posting more about this topic as we research and experiment with it.

Wendy Dewitt got me thinking about it. This lady is awesome. I am going to take a lot of her advice and really start focusing on my food storage. She has videos on youtube. The quality isn't the greatest. You can get all of the same info on her blog. - which is what I've been doing.

Let me know what you think...

Cute picture of Ladybug. Aahhh, she is wearing my shirt. I will check out the solar ovens and give you my professional opinion. I do remember hearing about them, but just in my camp manual when I was in Young Womens :)

Okay, truth? I TOTALLY wanted something from you. Only..I am afraid to commit to doing the same on my blog. I'm selfish, I know. But I figured that me being the procrastinator I am, i would make false promises, and it'd be like 3 years before I followed thru.

Just ask my seminary teacher. He taught in hermiston for years! When he moved, I promised him a tree from hermiston to plant in utah so he would always remember the roots they planted in hermiston.

Here it is, 4 years later...

No tree.

I feel bad everytime I think about it.

Your daughter is adorable! Love the pout. Solar ovens? O.K. so we totally think alike because I've been checking into them lately. I see them on the Green Channel all the time.

Hey don't feel too bad about only having two people on the craft thing. I only had two people myself. I keep trying to tell myself it's not me, they must be intimidated about the idea of making something. And Holly, you must know that you are totally amazing. So, if people are intimidated by someone amatuer like me, well then, I can only imagine how terrified they are by you! By the way, I need your address.

i'm sad i missed the last post. oh well.

solar ovens are the way to go. i can totally attest to their efficiency. costco sells giant rolls of foil. also, a little flat fold stove is a good option. they are cheap and easy to use. http://beprepared.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_CK%20S170_A_name_E_%5B%5BProductNameURL%5D%5D
