Remembering...

Today marks 1 year since my Aunt Laura's passing.
On July 2, 2007 my sweet aunt Laura passed away six days before her 58th birthday after a brief, and courageous battle with Leukemia. I have always felt a close connection to Laura. You won’t meet a kinder, sweeter, warmer person . She brought light with her wherever she went. She has always been the most thoughtful person I have ever known. She was truly an angel in street clothes.

I also have to pay tribute to Laura for truly inspiring my new style of painting. Last year when I was raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, I decided to sell paintings as part of my fund raising. The ideas that flowed from my mind onto canvas were overwhelming. The response I received was amazing. It had a lot to do with Laura... I just know it. She was right there along side of me... inspiring me. She was always such a huge support of my artistic endeavors.

It's hard to believe it's been a whole year... and yet it's not.
Here is a post on my previous blog to bring back special thoughts of Laura.

Love you, Laura.
Thank you for being my guardian angel.
